Boarding Terms and Conditions
1. Service Provision Balanced Dog Academy offers dog and cat boarding services at our premises located at 8324 Kings Highway, Manar, NSW 2622.
2. Service Request The Customer requests that Balanced Dog Academy provide boarding services for their pets under the Terms and Conditions outlined in this Agreement.
3. Vaccination Requirement The Customer acknowledges that all dogs must have up-to-date C3 vaccinations prior to check-in and agrees to provide proof of vaccination upon booking. Dogs will not be admitted without this documentation.
4. Condition of Pets The Customer warrants that their pets will arrive at Balanced Dog Academy clean and free from fleas or ticks. If any pets are found to have fleas, ticks, or similar conditions, Balanced Dog Academy reserves the right to require appropriate washing and treatment, with all associated costs incurred to be reimbursed by the Customer at check-out. Pets showing signs of illness, disease, or injury upon arrival may be denied admission.
5. Disclosure of Medical and Behavioural Issues The Customer warrants that all medical and behavioral concerns regarding their pets have been disclosed to Balanced Dog Academy prior to check-in. The Academy reserves the right to refuse any pet that exhibits significant behavioral issues that may pose a risk to staff.
6. Veterinary Care If a pet becomes ill or injured during their stay, Balanced Dog Academy will endeavor to contact the Customer promptly. If the Customer cannot be reached within a reasonable timeframe, the Academy reserves the right to seek veterinary care at its discretion.
7. Reimbursement for Veterinary Costs All costs associated with medical care for an ill or injured pet will be reimbursed by the Customer at check-out. The Customer indemnifies Balanced Dog Academy against all such expenses.
8. Right of Refusal Balanced Dog Academy retains the right to refuse entry to any dog and may request the Customer to collect their pet before the scheduled departure date if the pet exhibits aggressive behaviour that cannot be managed by staff.
9. Risk of Personal Belongings Any belongings left with the pet are at the Customer's risk. Items may not be returned or may be returned in a dirty, torn, or wet condition.
10. Booking Confirmation Fee A booking confirmation fee of 25% of the total booking is required to secure a reservation. This fee is non-refundable; however, if the Customer must cancel, it may be transferred as a credit towards a future stay, excluding all Christmas and Easter bookings, where the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
11. Cancellation Refund Policy - A full credit for a future booking, minus the non-refundable booking fee, is available if cancellation is made 7 days or more prior to arrival. - A 50% credit, minus the non-refundable booking fee, is offered for cancellation made less than 7 days but more than 2 days prior to arrival. - No credit will be provided for cancellations made within 2 days of the reservation.
12. Price Changes All prices are subject to change without notice. Fees displayed on the website will be updated accordingly, but confirmed booking fees will not be altered.
13. Early Collection Policy No refunds will be granted for early collection of pets.
14. Payment Obligation The Customer agrees to pay the full amount of each Tax Invoice issued by Balanced Dog Academy for services rendered under this Agreement upon check-in.
15. Payment Methods Payments via electronic funds transfer are not accepted. Accepted methods of payment include cash, EFTPOS, or online card payments through Stripe. Please contact us to discuss payment plans if needed.
16. Indemnification The Customer indemnifies Balanced Dog Academy, its employees, agents, and subcontractors against:
Any damages, losses, expenses, suits, or costs arising from the behavior or conduct of the Customer’s pets.
All reasonable costs incurred in recovering any outstanding payments due to Balanced Dog Academy, including debt recovery agency fees, court fees, or legal fees.
Any claims related to damage caused by the pets to Balanced Dog Academy or third-party property.
The Customer is liable for any damages caused to Balanced Dog Academy’s property by their dog(s).
Claims arising from injury to staff or third parties due to the conduct of the Customer's pets.
17. Limitation of Liability Balanced Dog Academy disclaims liability for any general, direct, indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages related to the care of the Customer’s pets under this Agreement.
18. Obligations of Balanced Dog Academy In exchange for payment of the charges associated with boarding services, Balanced Dog Academy agrees to: - Properly house, exercise, feed, and care for the pets. - Ensure the safety and security of the pets. - Adhere to all obligations outlined in this Agreement. By booking with us, you accept the terms and condition.
Medication Terms and Conditions
Balanced Dog Academy is pleased to administer any medications or supplements to your pet during their stay. Please ensure all medications are properly labeled in their original packaging with your pet’s name and dosage instructions. Additionally, all medication information must be entered into your pet’s profile in our booking system.
While we take great care in administering medications, we cannot accept responsibility for any reactions or side effects that may occur. If we are unable to administer your pet's medication for any reason, we will notify you. If you are unreachable, we will contact your emergency contact or your veterinarian, who may need to collect your pet, with any incurred costs being the responsibility of the owner.
Please provide needles as single-use, and ensure that all medications come in your veterinarian's original packaging. Decanting is not permitted, and the dosage must match the instructions provided by the veterinary practice.
